Mulao Museum

Mulao Museum is exact replica of traditional dwellings of Mulao in Luocheng area of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The construction work was carried on in Beijing according to the national customs and traditional construction technology. The building work started in 2004 and the museum was open to the public in 2005.

The Mulao Museum is composed by the traditional brick building and bamboo grove. The planning is designed in an independent cottage environment. The vegetation and crops are also planted according to local climate. The building covers an ground area of 410 square meters and the building area is 102 square meters.

The indoor and outdoor displays of the Mulao Museum are life settings of traditional production and lifestyle of Mulao people. The exhibits are collected from Luocheng area of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The items cover a time span from the Qing Dynasty (1616-1911) to modern times, about two hundred years of history.
