Kangba Dwellings

The Kangba dwellings are used to be built alone the mountain side. They are typical residential buildings in Kangba region in Sichuan province. It is a three-story timber-stone structured building.  The exterior walls are painted in white and the wall is vertically tilted inside. There for, the thickness of wall on the top is narrower than the bottom. The window is small and confined and the building somehow looks like watchtower. There are wood ladder with handrails link the stories.

There should be kitchen and livestock pens on the first floor where the exhibition of Tibetan Daily Utensils is located. The second floor should be living rooms where the exhibition of Life Settings of Tibetan Live is located. The third floor should be sutra room where the exhibition of Tibetan Medicine Culture is located.
